So where does the story start? Costa Calma is a new town it was built in the 1980’s to provide tourist accommodation to utilise the beautiful, extensive beaches and the azure blue Atlantic Ocean. The gardens that provide the centre piece and shadow from the sometimes, scorching sun were planted in around 1986 and is home to many birds such as the amazing orange and black Hoopoe with his majestic crest and the tuneful black Bulbul with its striking red tummy. But our story does not start here!
